Jason Nguyen came to the United States at 12 years old as an international student, leaving Vietnam behind and arriving in Houston with a new language to learn and a whole country to figure out. Most kids in that situation just try to survive. Jason started paying attention. His parents had been real estate investors and private lenders in Ho Chi Minh City, people who built something from nothing, and even from a young age, Jason was absorbing lessons about value, timing, and what it takes to turn opportunity into outcome.
He pursued his education at the University of Houston, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication with a minor in Global Business, and was entrepreneurial from the start. A business owner at 22, a licensed life insurance agent not long after. But real estate kept pulling him back. He earned his license in 2015, and he didn’t ease into it. His first month as a licensed agent, he was working on a $2.2 million listing in Memorial. By the end of his first year, he had closed nearly 30 transactions. That’s not luck. That’s a lifetime of preparation finally finding its moment.
Jason joined Nan and Company Properties in 2017 and never looked back. What sets him apart isn’t just his hustle; it’s how his mind works. Jason is wired for numbers. He can look at a property and see what others miss: the spread between list and value, the rehab cost versus the upside, the rental yield, the exit strategy. Whether he’s guiding a first-time buyer, helping a flipper evaluate whether a deal pencils out, or working with a builder on land acquisition and sellout projections, Jason brings financial clarity that turns anxiety into confidence. He doesn’t just find deals. He stress-tests them.
Since 2021, Jason has been named a top producer at Nan and Company Properties every single year, with a transaction history spanning single-family homes, luxury estates, multi-family assets, new construction, and investment properties across Greater Houston. He was born in Vietnam, built in Houston, and every day he shows up to prove that where you start has nothing to do with where you end up.
